i've been known to eat cookies in bed once or twice. now i have the proof. so sad. i need help. ha!

i started feeling sick just in time for our 2 days off in beautiful saratoga springs. awesome. i didn't start feeling better until somewhere in indy.

look who else was staying at our hotel.
i took a few days after the red rock shows to hang in denver. it was nice to sleep in a non hotel bed and hang out with folks that weren't on tour. for a few days atleast. denver is nice. i like.

goodbye denver, thanks for a good hang... hello dmb tour.. and our security excort into the venue somewhere in pa.

some shots from rod , they are classic! i had to post them.
we managed to get a crew shot in denver in between the rain.

1 tour wraps up, another 1 starts

i'm not going to even begin to catch up on what's been going on the last few months. i'll just keep posting pix in order.
after we hit the NW we had a few long drives to get us to our last few days of shows. we finished up doing 3 days at red rocks outside denver. home for the fellas.

it was a great run with a good group of folks. i didn't really have time to wrap my brain around it since i wrapped up that tour and went straight into dmb. kimda of nuts.

more photos

to my surprise at settlement i ran into sarah b. from sacramento. she was at the hotel/venue for a wedding the next day.
it was a lovely surprise.

NW wrap up

it's taken me almost a month and a half to actaully sit down and look through
my photos from the last few weeks of the fray tour.
i feel like i'm finally able to sit down and spend sometime going over the
rest of the pictures i've taken.
let's see how much i can catch up on during 2 days off @
the four seasons in palm beach.

the NW west shows were cool. it kinda felt like more like camping rocknroll.
great scenery and nice weather help when you don't have ideal working space.
we had one gig at a venue that is part of the Mcmenamins Properties.
I've done a bunch of shows @ the Crystal Ballroomi n Pdx and i love it. This place had the same vibe and cool history behind it. seeing places like this make me want to move to pdx and work locally.

only a month behind

i have to start this blog by saying i'm in cinci where the heat index is 105 today.
this is no good.. no good for working in a hot semi... no good at all.

after san fran dayne and joe were kind enough to wait for me and let me catch a
ride home to sac. i was able to have 2 nights in my own bed. 2 nights turned into
3 after my 1st flight to seattle was cancelled.

since i my flight was cancelled i got to go to the z-trip show
at harlows and hang with my good buddy pete mcneal who was
drumming with z.
good times.

i was able to get a bike ride in with my 2 of my favorite locals to my favorite
brunch place. quick trips are better then no trip at all.

speaking of quick trips, i get to sleep in my bed 1 night next week! i'm so excited i can't even see straight.

nor cal

sf was kinda sad, we had to say goodbye to gomez and our kick ass catering folks of dega

my folks came out to check out the scene and see the show. i think they had a good time.
i'm still not very good about juggling family and friends at shows.

la la land

i always have mixed feelings about doing shows in los angeles.
this last visit was great. i got to visit with the lovely heather and miss
nancy.
it's weird how you can be ok with the lonely lifestyle that touring
brings until you get to visit with the ones you love and never
see. then it pretty much sucks.

2 nights in la is always good. it means in n out burger late after the gig and the 101 cafe after
you sleep in and on your way to the venue the next day. even better when shows are mid week
and you don't have to fight the weekend brunchers.
